Proel aquires Turbosound
At last it's official.
Rumours have been ripe within the industry
for some time about this buyout.
As of 9th February 2007 Turbosound is now a
subsiduary of Proel.
Turbosound however will continue to operate as
normal with the added benefit of much
stronger financial backing from it's new
foster mother company Proel.
This could be a blessing providing Turbosound
with lot's more cash in the bank to fund future
innovative developments.

eBay Counterfeits
Several
leading microphone manufacturers are making moves to stop the growing
number of counterfeit microphones that can be found on eBay.
Shure, Sennheiser and Audio Technica are the main names who are making
pro-active moves
to quash this new trend.
Shure are making use of special eBay based software programs that hunt
down and shut
down these rogue sellers.
We at Pro DJ Show urge you all to be vigilante when purchasing equipment
via eBay.

Hand
baggage ban on UK flights affect DJs
DJ's rage about the difficulties of having no hand luggage
following the recent UK terror alert.
Musicians Union Resolves Ban
The MU has once again come up trumps.
Members of the MU can now take thier instruments and other small items
onto aircraft.
This may involve paying for an
additional seat for larger items,
but this is at least a step in the right direction.

Ringing ears are a familiar temporary after-effect of hearing a DJ.
The
effects of loud music are far worse for the
DJ, who are subjecting their ears to
high decibel levels night after night.
DJ's have a clichéd
image that the louder
music is played the better.
Some DJ's want to
raise awareness of the damage that can be done with loud music
